DIRECTOR GENERAL - Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society
Reports to: The Executive Committee TTRCS
Education: Applicants should have a first degree in Management and or Business and the equivalent experience.
Responsible For: The Director General is the Chief Executive Officer of the Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society (TTRCS). He/she is responsible for implementing the policies of the TTRCS, preparing the operational plans and ensuring that the human and financial resources are available to deliver the plans.
The Director General shall:
- Function as the Chief Executive Officer of the TTRCS
- Operate under the authority of the TTRCS Executive Committee and President.
- Implement the decisions and policy of the TTRCS Executive Committee.
- Direct the Secretariat and be responsible for the execution of the work entrusted to it.
- Draft the budgets and financial reports in consultation with the TTRCS Treasurer.
- Organize the services of the Secretariat in accordance with the decisions of the TTRCS Executive Committee, appoint and terminate the appointment of staff to the secretariat under the direction of the TTRCS Executive Committee.
- Represent the TTRCS as its authorized representative in relation to third parties and courts of law for all transactions.
- Report on the activities of the TTRCS to the TTRCS Executive Committee and the President.
- Act in a consultative capacity with respect to the hiring and or terminating of staff at the TTRCS Branches.
- Serve as the ex-officio secretary for the Governing Council and Executive Committee
- Participate in the sessions of the TTRCS Governing Council and Executive Committee in an advisory capacity
