Why did you join the Red Cross?
I felt the work of the Red Cross in assisting those in need was one way in which I could give back to the community in a positive way. My interest was also drawn to the programmes of first aid and disaster management offered by the Society.

What is your best Red Cross experience?
This has been my involvement in the Community Based Disaster Preparedness Programme for the past 7 years. This was a successful and rewarding programme.  Working in the various communities was sometimes a challenge but the positive response of persons to the programme provided much personal satisfaction at the end of the day.

What are your hopes for the future of Red Cross?
I would like to see the strengthening of the Society’s financial base and an increase in volunteer numbers, especially amongst the youth.
