Most of the activities undertaken by the Belize Red Cross can be divided into two groups. Firstly there are the ones which are about health and community care which include an HIV and AIDS peer education project (Together We Can), First Aid training and services, Home Health Care training, Diabetes and Blood Pressure screening and education, Social Welfare clubs for older persons, soup kitchen and meals provision to school children.
The second group of activities are about disaster management and include coordination with the Government’s National Emergency Management Organisation, Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment (VCA) projects and relief to victims of fires, floods and other natural disasters.
