While
there is no funding currently available to execute
the planned activities of the network, ComNet
has decided to use creative ways (such as Skype
for meetings) to achieve some of its goals.
ComNet wishes to meet every
two years in a physical meeting to facilitate
training and other activities, but every two
months via web forum, while the core group will
meet once a year in a physical meeting, but
every two months via Skype.
National Societies and
Overseas Branches are encouraged to support
ComNet by facilitating the participation of
their respective communication and information
officers in the network’s planning and
activities.
The next core group meeting
is scheduled for May 29, 2007.
