TTRCS helps Home for the Aged with gift of wheelchairs

27 August, 2008

Volunteers of the Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross (TTRCS) journeyed to a home for the aged in La Horquetta to distribute wheelchairs to five persons who were immobile.

The residents were happy to see the TTRCS and were overjoyed to receive the wheelchairs: they can now wheel themselves to the breakfast table on mornings.

Owner of the home, Juliet Dillon, thanked the Red Cross by saluting them in song. She  sang a “welcome song” on their arrival, and “May the good Lord bless and keep you” as they left.

The donation was made possible through an arrangement by the Rotary Club of Port of Spain West and the TTRCS.
