Curaçao Red Cross train youth from vulnerable communities

Newly-recruited Red Cross youth from vulnerable communities in Curaçao have received HIV training in the Together We Can (TWC) programme.

The March 16-17 Peer Educator workshop involved 16 youth – seven males and nine females – with eight recently trained Instructor Trainers conducting sessions under the supervision of three National Trainers.

Two young men from the Closed Governmental Institute were also present. They will return to the institution to work with their peers. Teenage mothers were invited but did not attend.

The Curaçao Red Cross’ TWC programme is financed through a one-year HIV/AIDS grant from the Netherlands Government.
