I Love Muzika and Intwine to help promote 'Faces' in Aruba

March 26, 2007

Party organizers I Love Muzika will help promote the recently-launched Faces campaign in Aruba with a series of special party events and a concert at the end of May.

"They (I Love Muzika) are the perfect vehicle to bring the concept of safe sex practices to the youth. When they send a message, youngsters listen,” said Greg Peterson, president of the Aruba Overseas Branch of the Netherlands Red Cross.

I Love Muzika, known for their ‘Full Moon' parties and recognized for bringing renowned deejays to Aruba , is also assisting the Red Cross to bring the rock group “Intwine” to Aruba for a double event.

Intwine, a Netherlands-based band with Aruban members, will dedicate a special song titled “Peace of Mind” for the Red Cross.

The money raised during the I Love Muzika parties, Intwine's concerts and the sales of the song are intended for Aruba 's Red Cross.

In order to help the Red Cross branches of Curacao and Bonaire as well, Intwine will return to the Netherlands via Curacao , where they will also perform to generate funds.

“This is a win-win dream come through”, says Peterson. “The youth can't live without music. The message is being brought to them via their favorite channel and through their role models. Respect for and awareness of the Red Cross is spread among the youth and at the same time these events are creating funds for the Red Cross to be able to carry out its social programs. It is ‘cool' to be a Red Cross volunteer!”
