Two Representatives of the Anguilla Re Cross Society left Anguilla today, Thursday 17th November for the BVI.

Steve McDowell and Joan Mcleod will be attending a Red Cross sponsored workshop to be held from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th November 2005.

The workshop is called Ideals in Action and will deal with the principles of the global organisation, what it stands for and what are some of it’s functions throughout the world.

According to Mr. McDowell, the event is really a training of trainers exercise and on their return the island’s representatives are expected to impart the knowledge they gained on to other Red Cross Members here.

The workshop is being conducted by the British Red Cross. It will be attended by participants from Red Cross Branches throughout the region. McDowell and McLeod will return to the Island next Tuesday.
