Barbados Red Cross enrolls new student members

The Barbados Red Cross Society recently held an enrollment ceremony for new “child” members from secondary and primary schools in the country.

One hundred and fifty one children received enrollment certificates as they joined Youth Links at their schools. Queen’s College established a link with 38 members at the enrollment. The school is one of the older secondary schools on the island and the Red Cross is pleased that it has decided to have a Red Cross link. Also establishing a link was the Christ Church Boys Primary School with 26 members.

The Barbados Red Cross has traditionally had Youth Links in secondary schools, but is expanding its links to schools at the primary level. Christ Church Boys is the second primary school to establish a link. The Barbados Red Cross has links at 12 secondary schools.

In the recent enrollment ceremony, other secondary schools that enrolled new members were Deighton Griffith (19), Alexandra (5), Lester Vaughn (10), Combermere (17), Garrison (12), Springer (14) and Ellerslie (10).
