undertake for World Red Cross day as well as for the month of May:
National Headquarters
- Media Interviews on Power 106, KLAS FM 89, and other radio
and TV stations re Red Cross and the work done through volunteers
(week before and week of May 8)
- National Youth Rally at Jamaica Conference Centre at 9am on
May 12
- Mother’s Day Brunch at Campion College Auditorium at
10am on May 14
- Courtesy Call on the Governor General of Jamaica (new Patron
of the Jamaica Red Cross) by JRC Executive on May 15
Portland Red Cross
- Earthquake Awareness Drill and First Aid demonstration at the
Fellowship Primary & Junior High school in the Rio
Grande Valley, Portland (May 8)
- Exhibition of Red Cross services offered at the Branch office,
Port Antonio, Portland (May 8)
Kingston & St. Andrew Red Cross
- Flag raising ceremony at branch office at 9:00 am as well as
the reading of message from the Presidents of the IFRC and ICRC
(May 8)
- "Temperature Rising" Red Cross Cadets fundraiser
at the Jonkanoo Lounge, Hilton Hotel on May 5
- Annual General Meeting at Pollyanna Caterers, Stanton Terrace,
Kingston on May 18
- Volunteers’ Trip to Lime Cay on May 20
- “After Work Jam” at branch office on May 26
