The Barbados Red Cross, as is customary annually, will celebrate the period, with a Church Service on the Sunday before May 8th. So on Sunday 7th May, Red Cross members, volunteers, including Youth Links, will join the congregation of the St. Lucy Parish Church, for their 8 a.m. Service.

Invited will be ambassadors, heads of international organisations, heads of uniformed organisations as well as detachments from the uniformed organisations.

On May 8th, World Red Cross Day, volunteers will set up booths in public places to distribute literature on the Red Cross, and to do blood pressure and blood sugar tests.
