For World Red Cross Day, five schools for children with a mental or physical handicap were invited. The welfare volunteers of the Suriname Red Cross Society chose each one year school for their May 8th project.

This year the fence of the S.O. School Maretraite” was fixed to make it a safe environment at the school for the children. The children were offered all sorts of plays, food and drinks for the children.

There were also a number of fundraising activities for this project.
