Antigua Red Cross activities
World Red Cross Day is May 8th. This day falls each year on the birthday of Henry Dunant, the Swiss citizen who founded the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in 1863.

The Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross joins this largest international humanitarian aid organization to commemorate World Red Cross Day on Saturday.

During this week, His Excellency Sir James B Carlisle, Patron of the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross will broadcast the World Red Cross Red Crescent Day message for that National Society.

Meanwhile, Ms Judie A. Labdie, President of the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross is leading several activities this week also to commemorate the birth of Red Cross.

Distribution and sale of Red Cross flags and buttons, visit to Red Cross school links and visit to all elderly Red Cross members will form part of the activities for World Red Cross Day in Antigua and Barbuda.
